Associate Professor

I teach the Foundations, Secondary and Special Education department within the School of Education at the College of Charleston. This department provides foundation courses for all education programs at the College of Charleston as well as providing undergraduate and graduate degrees in special education and an undergraduate secondary education program.

The courses I have taught have primarily been in instructional technology, but I also have taught special education and secondary education courses as well as supervising clinical practice interns in both programs.

My research interests have revolved around instructional technology including hypermedia and uses of the World Wide Web and assistive technology in educational settings. My publications have included solo works as well as collaboration with Brenda Roughton, an elementary school teacher (and my better half) and graduate students.

Personally, I am interested in running, music, especially classic rock (I am a frustrated wannabe guitarist) and my 1986 Mustang.
